The Project

We were delighted to deliver this major Cat A and Cat B office fit out for Culina Group at Chadwick House in Birchwood, Warrington. The project formed part of a significant business move, bringing together multiple office functions into one newly designed floorplate on the third floor of the building.

The aim was to create a high-quality working environment that could support the relocation of around 300 staff, while also improving the way the space functioned day to day. It needed to be practical, well-planned and flexible, yes, but it also had to feel like a genuine upgrade for the teams moving into it.

The Challenge

FC Workplace delivered the scheme over a 14-week programme, working within a live, business-occupied building and managing a fast-track schedule with partial handovers throughout the project. This required careful coordination, regular weekly meetings, and close communication across the programme to keep everything moving smoothly.

The fit out involved the transformation of half of the third floor into a fully functioning workplace designed to support both focused work and collaboration. Works included partitioning, glazed partitions, decoration, flooring, lighting, power and data, HVAC, as well as kitchens, tea points, toilets and upgraded common areas.

The new layout was designed to give Culina Group a much more effective use of space across the floorplate. Open plan working areas were balanced with breakout zones, meeting rooms and boardrooms, helping to create a workplace that felt organised, modern and ready for a large-scale team move. In a project like this, really, the detail matters just as much as the programme.

The Outcome

The completed office fit out in Warrington has provided Culina Group with a modern, functional and well-balanced workplace tailored to the needs of a growing business. By bringing together multiple office teams into one cohesive environment, the new space now supports better flow, stronger collaboration and a more unified day-to-day working experience.

From the glazed meeting rooms and open plan work areas through to the breakout spaces and staff facilities, every part of the scheme was designed to improve how the workplace feels and performs. Despite the pressures of a tight programme and a live building environment, the project was delivered with a clear focus on quality, coordination and client expectations.

The final result is a smart, efficient and welcoming commercial office fit out that supports both the operational needs of the business and the experience of the people using it every day. It is a great example of how thoughtful workplace design and careful delivery can transform a large office relocation into something much more valuable than simply moving desks from one place to another.
